Global Medical Staff Nursing has an extensive program that our nurses follow to ensure that every one of our nurses will complete the necessary requirements and will succeed at any US Healthcare System. More details about our program and what each nurse must complete is available by contacting GMSN. Recruiting for our Program GMSN currently has operations in Eastern Europe and actively recruits nurses who were educated in Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, Russia, Albania, Bosnia, and several others. We have substantial contacts with local nursing colleges, hospitals and the Ministries of Health and Labor in many European countries. We are able to generate large numbers of qualified candidates, from which we select the most suitable for working in the US. Qualifying for our Program The process begins with the completion of an extensive application by each nurse to inform us of their Education, Employment, Travel, and Testing History. We have a list of educational and technical requirements that our nurses must possess in order to be eligible for our program. Please contact GMSN today for a full list of those requirements! Completing our Program Most of our nurses complete educational requirements of more than 600 theoretical credit hours and several hundred to thousand clinical hours since their nursing programs are year-round for 3-5 years before joining our program. Through a combination of classroom instruction, self-study, and Internet-based training (GMSN has a strategic alliance with Educational Resources, Inc or ERI, a leading supplier of NCLEX preparation materials), GMSN assists nurses in preparation for all exams to become a US nurse as well as assisting with the necessary paperwork required for the credentials review, exam applications, US RN licensure, and US immigration. Choosing your Nurses Each nurse who meets all of the criteria required by GMSN and US Immigration is placed on the Eligibility Roster. Information about each nurse, their resume, and their status in our program will be provided in an electronic format for you to review. We can also set up web-camera interviews between you and our eligible nurses so that you may get a chance to speak with each of them before making employment offers. Once the nurse has passed NCLEX-RN, he/she will be eligible to receive an employment offer from your Healthcare System. Employer Assignment Once you have chosen your nurses and your nurses have passed the NCLEX-RN, then your Healthcare System will provide employment offers to each nurse you wish to employ. The nurse will commit to your System for 3-years, but more than likely will remain there for the majority of their nursing career. They will follow the same procedures as the new graduates you hire, including completing the new graduate orientation program at your System. Immigrating to the US For candidates who are not residents of the US, GMSN manages the entire immigration application process. Our nurses will receive Green Cards, not temporary work visas. We keep both the nurse and employer informed of the status of this process. Immigration timelines may change due to uncontrollable circumstances that will prevent the nurse from having the typical timeline. In the past, nurses could immigrate and begin work from 6-8 months after you selected them. Currently, US Immigration is facing delays due to the overwhelming amount of applications they received in the last 18 months. It is currently taking 18-36 months for our nurses to immigrate here. We and our Healthcare Systems work with several different immigration attorneys who keep us readily informed of immigration updates for our nurses. Reporting to Work Once your nurses have had their immigration interviews at the US embassy and have received their immigrant visas, we will bring them to the US. We will house them near your hospital and take care of all necessary arrangements for them. We will ask you to provide us with a list of your New Graduate Orientation dates so that we may make sure your nurses are ready to report to orientation on time. We will remain in contact with you during the full 3 years of your nurses’ contracts and hope that your nurses will remain with you once our contract has ended. GMSN does everything possible to train and support each nurse in preparation for life in the United States. We monitor each nurse's progress and performance and allow the nurse, the nurse’s supervisor, and your hospital to complete a survey about our nurses and our program. We believe that we will achieve excellent results from all of our recruits, and that is why we guarantee 100% customer satisfaction or we will replace the nurse in the first year. We are very excited about our program and believe each hospital will enjoy the benefits of filling its nursing positions with a highly qualified international nurse.
