If you fulfill all the requirements in a timely manner, you can expect to complete our program and be ready to apply for immigration (or begin work if you already have a Green Card) in under 6 months. Remember, we offer a payment plan option that will provide assistance to you in paying for all fees relating to exams, applications, travel, immigration, and services.

Step1: Evaluating your Credentials (3-4 months)

You must have your academic and professional credentials evaluated through a US agency. This will require that you complete the agency’s application about you, your secondary school, nursing school, and nurse license from your home country. Your Nursing School and Ministry of Health (the agency who issued your nurse license) must each complete a form by the agency and send it to the agency with a copy of your nurse transcripts, diploma, license and English translations. We will help you with this entire process and we will remain in contact with the agency to ensure that your documents are being evaluated in a timely manner. Once the agency has received and reviewed all of your applications and documents, they will issue a report that will say whether or not your credentials are comparable to those credentials of a US-educated nurse.

Step 2: Preparing for the Nursing Exam (3-4 months)

We will help you with your preparation for the US nursing exam, the NCLEX-RN. We have a list of studying materials, including books, cd-roms, online courses, and practice exams to help increase your chances of passing NCLEX-RN. We will enroll you in our online course that will last anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months, depending on how much time each day you study. Once you have completed the course, we will give you a 3-hour practice exam. Once we have determined that you are ready to take your NCLEX-RN, we will apply you to the appropriate Board of Nursing and we will register you for the NCLEX-RN. If you are not a US resident, we will help you obtain a visitor's visa to another country to take the NCLEX-RN and we will help you arrange your travel.

Once you have passed the necessary English exams, have received your Credential Evaluation Report that says your credentials are comparable to those of a US graduate, and have scheduled your NCLEX-RN, we will place you on our roster of nurses to show to hospitals. We will assist you in completing an updated resume in a US format. Your information and status in our program will be provided to hospitals who wish to employ you. We will arrange a web-camera conference between you and the hospitals so that you will have a chance to speak with hospital nurse recruiters or directors. We work with hospitals in different cities and states and try to find a hospital that will be the right match for you. You will sign a contract to work in this US hospital for 3 years and the hospital will provide you with a formal employment offer after you pass NCLEX-RN. After your 3-year assignment is completed, you will be eligible to work and live on your own anywhere in the US.

Step 4: Immigrating to the US

GMSN will manage the entire immigration process. You (and your spouse and/or children under 21 years old) will be applied for immigration to the US and to receive your Green Card. Your hospital will be your sponsor for your immigration application. We will provide you with all applications, forms, and lists of documents needed for immigration. We will keep both you and your employer informed of the status of this process. In the past, it typically took about 6 months for the immigration process to be completed for nurses, however, US Immigration Service has been overloaded with applications and it now may take up to 3 years to process an application, until a new immigration bill is passed by Senate and the President that allows nurses to apply separately again.

Once you obtain the immigration status allowing you to move and work in the US, GMSN will arrange for transportation to the US for you so you may immediately begin your new career. Once you arrive in the US, we will help you make a smooth transition into your new home and surroundings.
