GMSN will guide and assist you through the entire process of becoming a nurse in the US. We will assist with the following: - Determining which English exam is best for you, how and where to take the exam, and the results need for the exam.
- Gathering the documents necessary to apply for our program and all exam, license, credential, and immigration applications.
- Preparing your resume and obtaining a job offer as a Registered Nurse in the US for you.
- The entire process as listed below in detail. Payment of your exams, services, and all other fees (we have a payment plan available for you).
Paperwork Assistance Each state’s board of nursing in the US has different requirements for foreign-educated nurses. GMSN knows what these requirements are and tells you exactly what you need to do and when, where, and how it can be done. GMSN aids in gathering, preparing, completing, and submitting all paperwork necessary for exams, licensure, your credential evaluation, and your US Green Card. Supporting documents, such as school transcripts, nursing licenses, identification documents, and medical history documents will need to be gathered and sent with many of the applications. Several of the applications have submission deadlines, so documents must be gathered in a timely manner. Costs for everything are paid upfront by GMSN, not to be paid back until you are working at a GMSN-partner hospital in the US. Exam Preparation Through a combination of classroom instruction, self-study, and Internet-based training, GMSN will assist you in preparation for your US nursing exam, the NCLEX-RN. You will be enrolled in a comprehensive, online preparation program. You will be assigned to a nurse educator who will guide you through the online course. To participate in the review program, you must have access to a computer and the Internet and be able to commit to studying almost every day for 3 weeks to 3 months depending on how many hours a day you have available. Several online exams will be given throughout the course to evaluate what subject matter you should focus your study on. Upon completing the course, GMSN will give you an RN assessment (a nursing exam) to evaluate your knowledge of all areas of US Nursing. The exam will demonstrate your readiness to take the NCLEX-RN. Once you are ready to take the NCLEX-RN, GMSN will assist with the application process, scheduling your exam and travel to the country that is best for you (the exam is offered throughout the US and in limited countries around the world). Job Placement
GMSN guarantees that if you fulfill your part in our program, then GMSN will find a hospital to employ you with the terms of your contract. You will receive the same salary as an American nurse performing the job you were hired for. You will attend a hospital orientation program that is offered for recent US nursing graduates. Costs for all applications, services, exams, and travel arrangements to get you licensed as a US RN will be paid up front by GMSN if you choose to take part in our payment plan option. If you remain in our program until the terms of your contract have been completed, then you will not be obligated to pay back anything until after GMSN has placed you in a hospital and you are working as an RN. Once you have completed your contract with GMSN and your hospital, you will be free to work on your own as an RN in any US medical facility, if you choose. Immigration/Transition to US Together, GMSN and your hospital will manage your entire immigration process with the help of our immigration attorney. We will apply you (and your spouse and children) for permanent residency in the US. All paperwork will be obtained, completed, and submitted by us, and your status will be monitored until you receive your green card. Once you obtain the immigration status allowing you to work in the US, we will provide as much support as possible for the transition and socialization into your new community. GMSN will assist you in obtaining a social security number, opening a bank account, qualifying for a driver's license, shopping for food and necessities, setting up utilities, familiarizing you with American social customs, and orienting you to your work environment. Fees and associated costs are borne by GMSN and your hospital which are not to be paid back until you are working at your contracted hospital within the US.
